According to the invention, the base part has an axially oriented cut-out for receiving a fastening segment of the cutting element, the base part has a counter surface facing the cutting element and extending around the cut-out, and the counter surface and the end face of the wear-resistant layer form a continuous flat surface. The invention further relates to two methods for producing such a pick. The pick formed in such a way has low abrasive wear.
