    • A method of operating equipment for coating printing materials in a printing press includes providing equipment made up of at least one metering system and a circulating line system associated with the metering system for at least one liquid medium received in at least one container. The circulating line system also has a pump subsystem with at least one feed pump for feeding the liquid medium from the container to the metering system, and at least one return pump for returning the liquid medium from the metering system into the container. Furthermore, a feed line is disposed between the metering system and the feed pump. In order to preferably completely empty at least the feed line, the steps of shutting off a medium connection between the feed pump and the container and connecting a suction side of the feed pump to a space having a gaseous medium, for sucking in the gaseous medium by the feed pump and, as viewed in pumping direction of the feed pump, for pumping the gaseous medium into the feed line, are carried out. Equipment to be operated according the method is also provided.

    • A hydraulic circuit for a motor vehicle transmission, preferably a twin-clutch transmission, is connected for cooling at least one clutch of the transmission. The hydraulic circuit is preferably a low-pressure circuit and it includes at least one hydraulic pump, at least one filter element, for filtering the hydraulic oil, and at least one pressure-regulating valve. The circuit-related control sequence and the power consumption of the hydraulic pump are optimized in that at least one adjusting valve is provided in order to control the volume flow of cooling oil flowing to the clutch, in that a pressure-compensation valve is provided in addition, and in that the pressure-regulating valve, the adjusting valve and/or the pressure-compensation valve are arranged and/or formed within the hydraulic circuit such that the pressure difference between the supply pressure and the establishing cooling-oil pressure is essentially constant.

    • An improved control apparatus provides a feedback control system for engaging selectively a clutch of a vehicle. The vehicle includes an engine, an engine shaft, and a drive train comprising a clutch assembly including clutch input and output members, a drive shaft, and a wheel assembly. The apparatus includes a servo-motor for engaging and disengaging the clutch members, a first sensor for detecting an angular velocity of the clutch input member, a second sensor for detecting an angular velocity of the drive shaft, and a third sensor for detecting the instantaneous torsional moment transmitted by the drive shaft to the wheel assembly. The apparatus further includes a feedback control unit for attenuating vibration in the vehicle drive train. The feedback control unit includes a data processing unit for interpreting the parameters detected by the first, second, and third sensors to monitor torsional vibrations in the drive train, and a regulator unit to engage selectively the clutch and input and output members to regulate thereby the moment of the clutch to cause each of the torsional moment transmitted by the drive shaft and the angular velocity of the engine shaft to approach a constant value so that unwanted torsional vibrations in the vehicle drive train are dynamically monitored and attenuated.
