    • Systems and methods for generating a quick start workout template and calibrating an electronic device using the workout template are provided. The electronic device may create and store a workout template to be used in conjunction with a workout. The workout template may be selected in a quick start fashion to restart the same workout. The workout template may be defined at least in part by a selection of any suitable workout goal and/or any suitable associated media. If the media associated with the workout goal is changed or is removed, a new workout template may be created. The electronic device may be calibrated or recalibrated using the workout template. If the electronic device is calibrated or re-calibrated with respect to a particular sensor, the electronic device may use the calibration in conjunction with any suitable workout template and the sensor to more accurately monitor the user's workout.

    • Some embodiments of the invention are directed to, among other things, systems, computer readable media, methods and any other means for navigating a menu hierarchy of a handheld electrical device and/or options within a menu display. The device can present each display on, e.g., an integrated display screen. In response to the device being physically moved, circuitry of the device can receive acceleration data generated by one or more accelerometers. The circuitry can be configured to respond to the acceleration data by generating an acceleration vector, storing the data and/or presenting another display. The new display can be, for example, another menu in the menu hierarchy or the same menu with a different option highlighted.

    • Systems and methods for generating and using performance metadata associated with a media piece (e.g., music or video) are provided. An electronic device can monitor a user's workout performance while playing a particular media piece. Workout performance may include the user's rate of motion and/or one or more physiological metrics of the user. Based on the user's workout performance, the electronic device can create new or modify existing performance metadata associated with the media piece. In some embodiments, the performance metadata based on a particular user's workout performance in response to a media piece may be combined with collective performance metadata based on the workout performances of multiple users in response to the media piece. The combined performance metadata may then be stored as new collective metadata. Accordingly, the collective performance metadata can represent the average response to a media piece over multiple users.

    • Systems and methods are provided for customizing radio presets. The radio presets can be customized based on one or more of geographic location and user preferences. For example, radio presets bookmarking particular radio frequencies can be associated with a particular location. When a user device is in the particular location, the associated radio frequencies can be used to populate “hot keys.” In some embodiments, if radio presets are not available for a particular location, recommended radio presets can be determined by, for example, comparing radio station information with user preferences. This radio station information can include, for example, a listing of available radio stations, the genre of these radio stations, and radio station names. User preferences can include, for example, preferred songs, preferred radio stations, preferred radio shows, and preferred genres. Recommended radio presets can be determined by identifying available radio stations that match the user preferences.

    • A media device including a broadcast receiver that receives broadcast media and a location sensor that determines the location of the media device and generates media device location data. The media device includes a data store that stores at least one data network address for a media data server where the media data server includes a list of broadcast source settings. The data store also stores a preset list of broadcast source settings. The media device also includes a transceiver for: i) sending the media device location data to the media data server and ii) retrieving a location-based list of broadcast source settings associated with the location of the media device. The media device further includes a processor that compares the preset list with the location-based list and determines a local preset list from the retrieved location-based settings that match the preset settings.
