摘要： The present invention relates to a method for increasing the extendibility of disk copy protection and a system for the same. The method includes the following steps: a) Compare the version number in the system for disk copy protection with that of corresponding system for the copy protection in the player and confirm whether it needs to revoke data; b) If the data need to be revoked, read the information about the revocation data in said disk, then confirm whether to revoke the partial relevant playing license or revoke all the relevant playing license; c) If partial relevant playing license is to be revoked, undertake revoking confirmation. Using the method for increasing the extendibility of disk copy protection and the system for the same, it is very easy to upgrade the system for disk copy protection and player protection, thereby to prevent piracy effectively.

摘要： The present invention provides a disc player that authenticates a disc via the Internet. According to one embodiment of the invention, upon insertion of a disc into a player, the player reads a disc identification (ID) on the disc. The player then sends a registration request with the disc ID to a server over the Internet for obtaining an authentication key for playing the disc, upon proper registration of the disc by the server. To properly register the disc, the server first determines whether the disc ID is included in its database. Upon proper registration of the disc, the server will set a registration status associated with the disc to prevent any subsequent unauthorized registrations for the same disc. Thus, by using the present invention, unauthorized copying of the disc can be effectively eliminated.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of creating video object units (VOBU) in high-definition DVD (HD-DVD) systems. HD enhanced data in the form of data packets are multiplexed and stored with standard-definition (SD) data in a VOBU. In the VOBU, the spa ce where the video pocket (V-PCK) and the for SD data related video packet (V-P CK-HD) for HD-enhanced data are stored is shortened as possible. This will increase the efficiency of a future enhanced DVD video player that supports the HD-DVD optical disc format to fetch, decode and synchronize the SD and HD enhanced data. Furthermore, the optical disc created in this kind of data storing has good backward compatibility.

摘要： The disclosure provides a method for realizing a Mobile Switch Center (MSC) pool, a system for realizing an MSC pool and a Media Gateway (MGW). The method for realizing an MSC pool includes: connecting with a Base Station Controllers (BSC)/Radio Network Controller (RNC), by a Media Gateway (MGW) through the use of a common signaling point; and upon receipt of a message whose destination signaling point is the common signaling point from the BSC/RNC, determining, by the MGW, a destination MSC server of the message according to ID information carried in the message, and sending the received message to the destination MSC server. According to the present invention, the networking scheme for an MSC pool may be implemented without upgrading any BSC/RNC. The flexibility of the networking scheme for mobile communication systems may be improved, and the traffic load of the subscribers may be shared.

The single-chassis switch is partitionable into a plurality of logical switches, each associated with one of the virtual fabrics. The logical switches behave as complete and self-contained switches. A logical switch fabric can span multiple single-chassis switch chassis. Logical switches are connected by inter-switch links that can be either dedicated single-chassis links or logical links. An extended inter-switch link can be used to transport traffic for one or more logical inter-switch links. Physical ports of the chassis are assigned to logical switches and are managed by the logical switch. Legacy switches that are not partitionable into logical switches can serve as transit switches between two logical switches.

摘要： Simple, computational efficient, and robust audio features are applied in a uniform program indexing method for picking up video segments relating to highlight plays in a recorded program worthy of being reviewed. By focusing on certain frequencies in an audio sequence of the program, a computational complexity of the uniform program indexing method is significantly decreased. With the aid of MFCC coefficients and a DFBE coefficient generated from the MFCC coefficients, audio patterns may be utilized for differentiating exciting events in the program from other unnecessary information. Scores corresponding to various audio segments are regarded as standards for picking up video segments in the program worthy of being chosen in a recorded highlight collection. Some low-level-feature parameters, some video segments having highlight-related visual characteristics, and a re-ranking procedure are utilized for enhancing precision of the scores for providing video segments worthy of being reviewed.

To navigate through the content the player provides menus allowing the user can select content to watch. Passive content is replaced with active agents so that each piece of content will also contain a program part. The action by a user selecting a piece of content to play results in the program part being executed instead of the content being played. This program part displays menus that allow the user to navigate this particular piece of content, or alternatively, the program part may just start playing the AN content. Playing the ctual content is under the control of the application. At the end of the content, the application decides the next action, such as displaying another menu. The application chooses when to exit the content (based on user action or end of content) and returns to the player menus. The invention provides more control for the content provider to control the appearance of their content.
