    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of production capable of being executed in a low energy consumption, simply producing a diphenylmethane-based diamine and polyamine and enabling the production of corresponding diisocyanate and polyisocyanate by continuing phosgenation to reduce the formation of byproducts. SOLUTION: This method of production comprises the following processes: (a) a reaction process of aniline with formaldehyde under a catalyst; (b) a neutralizing process of the reaction mixture; (c) a separation process of the reaction mixture to an organic layer and aqueous layer; (d) a separating process of water and aniline from the organic layer by distillation. The (d) process comprises: (d1) the distillation comprises at least one preliminary evaporation stage and a distillation stage; (d2) in the preliminary evaporation stage, the aniline and water are separated from the organic layer by a flash evaporation; and (d3) in the following distillation stage, the residual aniline and water are separated to obtain the diamine and polyamine containing COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

    • Procedimiento para la producción de di y poliaminas de la serie difenilmetano mediante la reacción de anilina y formaldehído en presencia de un catalizador ácido, en el que a) se hace reaccionar anilina que contiene menos del 3 % en peso de di y poliaminas de la serie difenilmetano, con respecto al peso de la anilina usada, con formaldehído en presencia de un catalizador ácido para dar una mezcla de reacción que contiene di y poliaminas, y b) se neutraliza la mezcla de reacción que contiene di y poliaminas, y c) la mezcla de reacción neutralizada que contiene di y poliaminas se separa en una fase orgánica que contiene di y poliaminas y una fase acuosa, y d) dado el caso se lava la fase orgánica con agua, y e) se elimina por destilación la anilina en exceso de la fase orgánica, y f) se combinan parcial o completamente las aguas residuales y los condensados que se producen en las etapas a) - e), combinándose en cada caso al menos parcialmente al menos las aguas residuales y los condensados obtenidas en las etapas c) y e) y obteniéndose una mezcla que contiene agua, di y poliaminas, anilina y sales del catalizador usado en la etapa a), y g) se somete la mezcla obtenida en la etapa f) a una separación de fases, obteniéndose una anilina que contiene di y poliaminas, y h) posteriormente se recircula la anilina obtenida con la separación de fases que contiene di y poliaminas al menos parcialmente en la reacción en la etapa a).

Preparation of di- and polyamine of the diphenylmethane series comprises: (a) transferring aniline and formaldehyde to a reaction mixture containing di- and polyamine, in the presence of an acid catalyst, (b) neutralizing the reaction mixture containing di- and polyamine, (c) introducing the neutralized reaction mixture containing di- and polyamine into an organic phase containing di- and polyamine and an aqueous phase, (d) distillatively separating water and aniline form the organic phase, where the distillation in step (d) comprises at least a pre-evaporation step and at least a distillation step; in the pre-evaporation step aniline and water are partially separated from the organic phase containing di- and polyamine by open evaporation; the further aniline and water are removed in the subsequent distillation step and the obtained di- and polyamine contains less than 1000 ppm of water and less than 200 ppm of aniline, based on the weight of di- and polyamine, and (e) cooling the obtained di- and polyamine. An independent claim is included for the preparation of di- and polyisocyanate of the diphenylmethane series comprising preparing di- and polyamine and subsequently reacting the amine with a phosgene.
