    • The nicotinamide compounds are new. The nicotinamide compound having general formula (I), preferably general formula (II), is new. In general formula (I), X 1>F, Cl, Br, I, SCN or S-R 3>, where R 3>=H, 1-6C alkyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl, -(CH 2) r-C 6H 5, where r=0-6, where the alkyl residue -(CH 2) r is substituted.; R 1>halogen, cyano, thiocyanato or halogen is substituted with alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl, alkylamino, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl, aryl, heteroaryl, cycloalkyl or heterocyclyl, where the alkyl and alkylene has 1-6C, alkenyl and alkinyl containing 2-6C, cycloalkyl contains 3-6C atoms and the aryl group has 6-10C; n : 0-2, preferably 0-1, particularly 0; R 2>1-6C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl, 2-6C alkinyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl, which is substituted single or multiple times, directly or differently with halogen, cyano, nitro, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C haloalkoxy, 1-4C alkylthio, 1-4C alkylsulfinyl, 1-4C alkylsulfonyl, (1-6C alkoxy)carbonyl, (1-6C alkyl)carbonyl or 3-6C trialkylsilyl; and m : 0-4, preferably 0-2, particularly 0. In general formula (II),R 1>,R 2>,m and n=same as variable group R 1>,R 2>,m and n of general formula (I). Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for producing a nicotinamide compound; and (2) a method for producing a compound of general formula (III), which involves converting a hydroxamic acid compound of general formula (IV) with ethylene oxide of general formula (V) in water and acetone, methanol, ethanol, N,N-dimethylformamide or acetonitrile.
