Said pumping fluid has a critical temperature between 60°C and 100°C, and a nominal heat of vaporization at boiling point of at least 220 kJ/kg. Further, said compressor 11 is configured for cooling by said pumping fluid after being compressed. Preferably, the household appliance 1 is a dryer 1 for drying wet laundry 3.
