    • A thin flexible lightweight electrical heat wrap unit usable on the human body, usually with a vibratory massaging device. In the heat wrap unit, electrical resistance wires are arranged in a serpentine pattern and sealed together with a thermostat between two thin flexible composite sheets. The composite sheets comprise a knapped loop fabric material inseparably laminated to a base of electrically insulating pliable material. The base faces of the sheets are bonded together thereby causing the fabric loops to be on all exterior sides of the heat wrap. The heat wrap unit operates on 12-24 volts and has an enclosed socket electrically connected to the resistance wires and structurally attached to an edge of the wrap unit. The socket is connected through an external temperature control unit and transformer to a power supply. Also, a vibrator massage device can be electrically connected to the control unit and physically attached by a Velcro (R.T.M.) fastener to the heat wrap unit outer surface and used in combination with the flexible heat wrap unit to achieve combined effective heating and massage capability for the user.

    • A shear is disclosed in a preferred form which is particularly suited for cutting and trimming hair and which includes means for varying the length of stroke of the cutting blade or blades which reciprocate generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle, so that the unit can be manipulated in a manner similar to a comb or brush. The blade drive includes a transmission comprising a pair of eccentrics which are selectively phaseable to provide full range of stroke by addition and subtraction of their eccentric throws. The eccentrics are retained in their selected phase relationship by spring and frictional means which provide an overload release permitting the eccentrics to rephase to zero stroke when the imposed load overcomes the phase-retaining means. Control of the unit is effected by a rotatable and depressable button which controls the drive motor, adjusts the blade stroke by phasing of the eccentrics, and lowers the cutting blade or blades from a retracted position into a cutting position.
