    • PURPOSE:To eliminate air extracting work at the site of construction and permit to construct in a short period of time by a method wherein the fluid flowing mat is filled previously with high soluble gas at a factory or the like. CONSTITUTION:The fluid flowing mat is constituted by a method wherein pillar- like terminal devices 4A, 4B, formed with cavities 3 communicated with respective flow paths 1, are connected to both ends of a flat plate-like piping section 2, formed with a plurality of flow paths 1 for circulating the fluid therethrough. The high soluble gas is sealed into the mat previously at the factory or the like. Ammonia, hydrogen chloride, carbon dioxide or the like, for example, may be employed as the high soluble gas. At the site of construction, a hose of supplying side, which is filled with water to a part immediately before a connecting part, is connected to an entrance 5A to introduce the water into the fluid flowing mat. When the water is introduced, the high soluble gas in the fluid flowing mat is absorbed into the water rapidly and the inside of the mat is filled with the water instead of the high soluble gas. After the mat is filled with the water, an exit 5B is opened and the hose of discharging side is connected thereto. According to this method, the air extracting work at the site of construction may be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the heat exchanging efficiency, and to improve handling and operating characteristics in a heat exchanger, by using a flexible heat exchanger mat which is unitarily molded into the form of a sheet out of flexible material, and to which both ends headers to distribute and collect fluid are provided. CONSTITUTION:A twisted heat exchanger mat 1 is installed in a container 6, and heat is exchanged between the fluid flowing through the container 6 and that flowing through flow paths 5 which are provided through the heat exchanger mat 1. The heat exchanger mat 1 is installed in the container 6 in the twisted state, having a specified gap between the inner and the outer layers. One header 3 is located in the center part of the side wall of a container, while the other header 4 is located along the outer periphery of the side wall, in order to exchange heat between the fluid circulating through the container 6 and the fluid circulating through the flow paths provided through the heat exchanger mat. The heat exchanger mat 1 can be rolled up centering the header 3 on one side when it is not used, and it can be spread out again when it is put to use to exchange heat.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a perforated mat easy to process, transport and construct, by forming not only a large number of parallel fluid channels to plate shaped rubber so as to pierce therethrough from one end surface thereof to the other end surface thereof but also small apertures communicated with the fluid channels from the single surface or both surfaces of said rubber. CONSTITUTION:A perforated mat 2 is layed on the bottom part of a filter bed 11 and a filter bed 14 comprising a particulate material for collecting the suspended substance in raw water 13 such as sand is provided on said mat 12. The filter bed 14 is constituted of an upper small particle size bed 14A, and intermediate medium particle size bed 14B and a lower large particle size bed 14C. Small apertures 13 are formed only to the single surface of the perforated mat 12 and headers 4A, 4B are provided to both ends of said mat 12. Raw water supplied from above is filtered during a time when fallen through the filter bed 14 and the treated water is flowed into the fluid channels 2 within the mat 12 through the small apertures 3 and gathered in the headers 4A, 4B at both ends of said mat 12 to be taken outside.

    • PURPOSE:To firmly install a heat exchanger plate in a heat exchanger mat by an easy method, without producing any wrinkles or external damage, by fixing a heat exchanger plate utilizing the strength of a wire material which has higher rigidity than the heat exchanger plate. CONSTITUTION:Headers 3, having cavities connecting to each passage 2, are connected to both ends of a heat exchanger plate 1. In the passages positioned at specified pitches P among a plurality of passages 2, wire materials 4 which have higher rigidity than a heat exchanger plate 1 are inserted, so that the rigidity and strength are increased in a heat exchanger plate 1. Both ends of a reinforcing material (wire material) 4 are respectively protruded from the heat exchanger plate 1, and these ends are fixed to the header 3 by an adhesive or the like. With such an arrangement, when a heat exchanger mat, consisting of a heat exchanger plate 1 and headers 3, is installed in a setting place, the plate 1 can certainly be fixed to the mat, by tightening the appropriate part of a heat exchanger plate 1 or the part of a header 3 by metal fittings and bolts.
