摘要： PURPOSE: To install linear type, disk type encoders and their relevant appliances in a compact and narrow space by providing the encoders with light projecting parts to radiate light beam and reflecting layers on the opposite to the projecting parts. CONSTITUTION: Since a reflecting layer 8 is formed on the opposite to a light projecting part 4, light beam radiated from the light projecting part 4 is reflected in the coming direction. Due to that, a light receiving part 5 (a light source) can be installed in the same side as the light projecting part 4 (an optical sensor). Since both are integrated in one chip, the structure of an encoder and the relevant appliances can be made compact. Consequently, the degree of the damage caused by vibration load and dust can be suppressed to low. Moreover, due to that the structure is made compact by installing the light source 5 and the optical sensor 4 in the same side, the area for installation can be narrowed and the distance of the layer through which the light beam from the light source 5 passes after reflected can be shortened, so that the position detection precision can be improved.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the same accuracy as that of an integrally formed timing scale by combining several timing scales, forming a longer timing scale, and adding it with a comparator unit. SOLUTION: When a sensor carriage 7 moves, a sensor 4 connecting to a counter 5 moves from a starting point 2, detects reference lines 3a crossing the moving direction, and stores them. Further, when a sensor 8 reaches a joint part 1c, a comparator 10 connecting to the sensor 8 senses a change of interval between index marks. When a testing means 10' confirms the reception of a signal of changed index mark, the counter 5 is disconencted from a wiring 6b and a counter 11 is connected to the sensor 8. Namely, when the sensor carriage 7 passes the joint part between two reference lines 1a and 1b, a signal is accumulated not in the counter 5 but in the counter 11. Thus, a continous timing sequence can be obtained in the same manner that no interruption occurs in one timing scale.

摘要： The device has a code carrier forming a timing scale, with code markers (3) as window openings at regular intervals, which can be detected by a sensor (4) electrically connected to a meter (5) via cables (6a,6b). The scale is mounted on a spherical carrier with its butted ends separated by a gap of different width from the code markers. A further sensor (8) on a carriage (7) is connected to a comparator (10). If the code signal deviates from the code marker separation, it is passed to a second meter (11) and the first meter is isolated from the cables. If a second comparator (12) detects an error, the signals summed by the second meter are transferred (13) to the first meter, which is reconnected for the reception of further code signals.

摘要： A motion sensor has a carrier which rotatably supports a shaft. One or more eccentric weights are mounted on the shaft for rotation therewith. The carrier is supported by pins which are normal to the shaft and rotatable on bearings. One of the pins carries a disk with marks in the form of lines, and a sensing device for the marks is disposed adjacent the disk. This pin further carries a transmission component which cooperates with a transmission component on the shaft. When an object on which the motion sensor is mounted is tilted about the axis of the shaft, the weights are displaced from an equilibrium position. The weights return to the equilibrium position under the action of gravity thereby rotating the shaft which, in turn, rotates the disk via the transmission components. If the object is tilted about the axes of the pins, inertia causes rotation of the disk. The rotation of the disk is detected by the sensing device which can trigger an alarm.
