摘要： A drinks machine (1) has a storage tank (2) situated above an equalization tank (9) in which a water filter (8) is inserted and which is connected through the outlet opening (18) to the storage tank (2). The equalization tank (9) is connected to the atmosphere through a vent pipe (12) so that water (6) cannot escape from the equalization tank (9) to the atmosphere but can always move toward the flow heater (3). The volume of the equalization tank (9) is large enough for the tank to contain at least the quantity of water delivered by the flow heater (3) during its transport phase. The water filter (8) allows a flow rate such that the quantity of water which flows out of the storage tank (2) into the equalization tank (9) during the time interval consisting of the transport phase and the heating phase is at least equal to that delivered to the infusion unit (4) by the flow heater (3) during its transport phase. The throughput of the flow heater in function of the heat output is virtually exactly the same as that when no water filter is used in the drinks machine (1).

摘要： A process is disclosed to produce a protective cap which can be fitted on the ear channel temperature measurement probe of an infrared radiation thermometer that can be introduced into a body cavity. The protective cap (1) is made of a plastic base body with one open end and an opposite end closed by an infrared radiation-transparent window foil (7). In a first step of the process, at least one hole is pierced in a sheet-, web- or plate-shaped material for forming the base body (3). In a second step, the holed base body material (6) is covered at least in the area of the hole (5) with a window foil (7) made of an infrared radiation-transpare nt plastic and is joined in an immovable manner to the base body (6). This composite body is then shaped into a protective cap during a third step of the process and if required formed down to the final dimensions of the protective cap (1) during a fourth step of the process. A great number of protective caps (1) may thus be produced as in an assembly line in a simple manner and in a very short time.

摘要： A thermopile radiation detector comprises thermoelements developed on a silicon chip. The silicon chip is made by micromechanical processes used in the manufacture of integrated circuits. An originally relatively thick, plate-shaped silicon chip (1) is pared down, leaving a relatively thick border (2) and a relatively thin, meander- or spiral-shaped strip (3) joined at one end (13) only to the border (2). The so-called ''cold'' thermocontacts are located on the border (2) of the chip (1) in the region of the end (13) of the strip (3) and the so-called ''hot'' thermocontacts are located on the other, free end (14) of the thin strip (3). As a result of this construction, a relatively large thermoelectric signal is produced for a given infrared radiation even for a relatively small chip surface.
