摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable monitoring of a sensor heater and a sensor itself by measuring an internal resistance of a sensor ceramic to be compared with a target value which is obtained as a function of the temperature of an exhaust gas and a heating power of the sensor heater. SOLUTION: The temperature of an exhaust gas, a heating power and an internal resistance (x) of a Nernst's cell of a sensor ceramic, namely, λ sensor are measured and the internal resistance of the λ sensor is determined by a characteristic curve group unit as a function of the temperature of the exhaust gas and the heating power. By a multiplying means 20, the internal resistance is multiplied by a specified coefficient and a target value (y) as the results is supplied to a comparison means 30. Then, a comparison is made to determine whether the measured internal resistance (x) is larger than the target value (y) of the internal resistance thus obtained. When it is larger than the value, an error signal is supplied to an OR element 40, which 40 in turn generates an error signal 50 to be stored depending on the case. An error detection logic means 60 detects a short circuiting to a positive potential UB, a drop in load and/or a short circuiting to the ground and the results are supplied to the OR element 40.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for determining the internal resis tance of a sensor by using a minimum hardware setup. SOLUTION: A computer, which includes a computer board 9 including a variable switching condition and a signal input terminal 7, computes the internal resistance 3 of a l sensor 1 from variable values existing on the signal input terminal 7 and other specific fixed values. The positive electrode of a 5V power source is connected to the positive electrode of the λ sensor 1 through the computer board and a measuring resistance 8. The positive electrode of the λsensor 1 is directly connected to an analogue/digital converter 6 provided in front of the computer signal input terminal 7. Series circuits composed of a power source 4 and a resistance 5 are connected to the λ sensor 1 in parallel to each other. The power source 4 voltage is about the half of the Nernst voltage of the λ sensor 1 and the resistance value of the resistance 5 is about the half of the internal resistance of the λ sensor 1 in the operating temperature.

摘要： The invention relates to a method and a circuit for measuring the internal resistance (R1) (10) of an electrochemical cell (12) in order to determine the temperature of an exhaust gas sensor, especially an exhaust gas sensor of a motor vehicle. The invention aims at achieving the highest possible measuring accuracy of a circuit for measuring the internal resistance of an exhaust gas sensor with the purpose of improving regulation to constant temperatures thereby ultimately improving the performance of the exhaust gas sensor. According to the invention, a measuring current (I_Mess) (20) is impressed upon the internal resistance (R1) (10) of the electrochemical cell (12) and the resulting first voltage is detected; switchover to a reference resistance (R2) is carried out temporarily or at regular time intervals and a second voltage resulting from switchover to the reference resistance (R2) is stored and then used as reference value to measure the internal resistance (R1) (10). Switchover (18) to the reference resistance (R2) is carried out e.g. by means of force/sense lines.

摘要： The method involves detecting when the engine is operating at or above a predetermined load condition, and measuring the prevailing intake manifold pressure (Ps) at that condition. It then involves multiplying the measured intake manifold pressure (Ps) by a predetermined numerical factor (K) to provide a pressure value (Po) representative of the atmospheric air pressure. The predetermined load corresponds to the pre-established condition such that the measured manifold pressure is a predetermined percentage (Q) of the actual atmospheric pressure. The ratio of measured throttle valve angle and engine speed is monitored and compared with stored values in order to establish whether the predetermined load condition has been reached and/or exceeded.

摘要： An electronic control system for an engine of a vehicle is provided with an idling RPM set-point regulator to deliver at its output a nominal idling speed control signal, and a summer for combining the control signal with a modulating error signal which is generated in response to a detection of a defect in a component part of the vehicle. The modulated nominal control signal causes a corresponding change in the normal running of the engine during idling operation or during reduced load thus signalling to the operator a faulty condition. Additional warning means are provided for generating optical warning signals, and means for generating the modulating error signal to be supplied to the electronic control system when a defect occurs in the warning means.

摘要： To sense proper operation of a servo control loop including a fuel control pedal (1) which operates a command control transducer (2), e.g. a potentiometer coupled thereto, to provide a command signal to a controller (3) which energizes an amplifier (4) operating a positioning motor (5) which, in turn, changes the position of a fuel control element (7, 207), the instantaneous position of which is fed back to the controller by a position control transducer (6), a signal processing and logic circuit (9, 13) is provided which has the actual fuel supply signal applied thereto. The actual fuel supply signal is evaluated with respect to predetermined limits, for example at a "rest" or OFF position of the fuel control element. This condition can be sensed, for example, based on operating data of the engine, e.g. when a brake light switch is operated, the engine operates above a certain speed, or the vehicle operates at a certain speed, or the like. Additionally, a position sensing switch (8) coupled to the control pedal (1) can be monitored by determining if the output signal from the command transducer is within a limited range when the switch is in a position indicating that the pedal is at, or close to, OFF or "rest" position. By evaluating the actual signal from the respective transducers at predetermined positions of the elements to which they are coupled, e.g. the fuel control element (7, 207) being against an idle or rest stop (16, 216) or the fuel control pedal (1) being at "rest" position, limit switches, particularly in the engine compartment, can be eliminated.
