    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive method capable of automatically controlling the distribution and quantity of a metal precipitated during the manufacture of a ceramic sensor element in a non-destructive manner.     • Described is a measurement device (11) for the determination of angle of rotation or displacement, the device having a coil core (10) on which are wound two coils (12, 13) which are connected into a voltage-splitter circuit. Between the two coils is a transition zone (14) whose longitudinal length is the same as the length of the measurement collar (17). Fixed to the measurement collar (17) is the component whose motion is to be determined. The two coils (12, 13) are wound on the core (10) in such a way that, when a current is flowing through them, they generate an unhomogenous magnetic field. To this end, the windings of the two coils (12, 13) are located an increasing distance apart, the ends of the coils where the distance between the windings is greatest being in the transition zone (14). The measurement device (11) proposed is particularly short in design, has a high sensitivity and the signal produced has a range over which it is linear.
