摘要： The self-expandable endovascular apparatus for aneurysm occlusion of the invention comprises a deformable shape memory frame with at least a partial segment covering comprised of a matrix implant material. The device can be folded and/or stretched to adopt a narrow profile for loading into a coaxial delivery device and expands in place as it adopts its original shape on release from the device into an aneurysm. A method of treating an aneurysm, comprises the steps of: (a) providing the self-expandable endovascular apparatus inserted into a lumen of a delivery device comprising a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end having a distal tip; (b) advancing the distal tip of the delivery device into an opening in an aneurysm having an interior sac; (c) advancing the apparatus through the lumen into the opening; and (d) withdrawing the delivery device, whereby the apparatus expands into the sac and covers the opening.

摘要： An implantable occlusion device for bridging the neck of an aneurysm comprises a biocompatible matrix. The device is movable between a compressed position prior to implantation and a generally concave or cup-shaped position following implantation. The device may comprise a frame having a plurality of elements. The frame elements have a first pre-deployment position generally parallel to a major axis of the delivery lumen, and a second post-deployment position spread radially from the major axis of the delivery lumen. The biocompatible matrix and/or the frame elements may also form or be manipulated to form a generally concave or cupped shape. The matrix can be porous or semiporous, such as a foam or a reticulated matrix. The occlusion device can be folded, twisted and/or stretched to adopt a narrow profile for loading into a coaxial delivery device and expand in place as it adopts its original shape on release. The device may be released or manipulated to a desired shape to occlude an aneurysm. Methods of using the implantable device are also provided.

摘要： Devices and methods for coupling, delivery, detaching and controllably releasing a medical implant, and methods for the assembly and use of the devices, provide for mechanically simple and rapidly operated release of the implant without disturbing its precisely selected position. Embodiments of various aspects of the present invention employ, among other structures, a loop or other aperture-bearing engagement element releasably held by a mating retaining element, in some instances with the assistance of a member for constraining the engagement element relative to the retaining element. In another aspect, the loop or other aperture-bearing element may be at least temporarily placed in a tensile state to maintain coupling of the implant prior to release. Embodiments of the invention permit release through a practitioner actuation, such as causing one or more rotations that lead to the withdrawal of the retaining element from the loop or aperture-bearing element. Release may be immediate, or near-immediate, while the loop, which may in various embodiments be of a flexible material, is left behind with minimal or no disturbance of the implant.

摘要： A renal flow system injects a volume of fluid agent into a location within an abdominal aorta in a manner that flows bi-laterally into each of two renal arteries via their respectively spaced ostia along the abdominal aorta wall. A local injection assembly includes two injection members, each having an injection port that couples to a source of fluid agent externally of the patient. The injection ports may be positioned with an outer region of blood flow along the abdominal aorta wall perfusing the two renal arteries. A flow isolation assembly may isolate flow of the injected agent within the outer region and into the renals. The injection members are delivered to the location in a first radially collapsed condition, and bifurcate across the aorta to inject into the spaced renal ostia. A delivery catheter for upstream interventions is used as a chassis to deliver a bilateral local renal injection assembly to the location within the abdominal aorta.

摘要： Two renal delivery members have two distal ports that are adapted to be positioned within two renal arteries via their corresponding renal ostia at unique locations along an abdominal aortic wall. A proximal coupler assembly is outside the body and is coupled to deliver material to the two distal ports for bi-lateral renal therapy. One or both of the delivery members may be self-cannulating into the corresponding renal ostium, or may be controllably steered into the respective ostium. Non-occlusive anchors may be coupled with one or both of the delivery members at anchoring positions in the renal artery or abdominal aorta to secure the renal delivery member within the renal artery. Renal-active fluid agents are coupled to the bi-lateral delivery system. Another renal therapy system cannulates a renal vein from the vena cava and controls a retrograde delivery of agents to the respective kidney.
