    • A wind turbine, referred to as a drag rotor is provided that converts wind energy into mechanical energy. Twin drag rotors are described with a common central deflector which minimizes potential negative drag, A drag rotor may be exploited in single structure, using either a vertical or horizontal axis and according to the location where it is to be installed (e.g. on the roof of a building where a horizontal positioning would be more user friendly or to conform to local regulations). Drag rotors use sails shaped like an arc of a cylinder or using a spiral spine, preferably with an off-centered axis of the central rotor versus the stator. One side of the sail is guided by the stator while the other side swivels while turning with hub, This "off-centered" motion allows the surface of the sail to be optimized when facing the wind and minimized when returning against the wind.

    • There is provided a fluid turbine comprising a stator having a track, a floating rotor rotatable upon an axis and a plurality of paddles, each paddle pivotally coupled to the rotor at a first end and coupled to the track at a second end. The floating position of the rotor enables movement of its axis versus the stator's axis which changes the eccentricity of the paddles relative to the track thereby increasing exposed surface area of the paddles on one side of the axis while decreasing it on the opposing side. The fluid turbine can be used as high, mid, low and vacuum pump applications, hydraulic or pneumatic, high and slow torque motors/turbines in automotive, transmission or electricity generation, gas expander or compressor, achieving larger pressure and temperature differentials than other devices, simple or double hydraulic clutches, fluid kinetic energy and pressure collection.

    • A hydro-pneumatic system generates power from wind energy transferred to a hydraulic flow, which in turn enables production of electricity by actuating a hydraulic motor/turbine. The wind hydro-generator works efficiently and at higher capacity utilizations at lower and higher wind speeds than conventional wind turbine technology. Conceptually, the invention represents a wind hydro-generator that uses a wind rotor to generate a torque, rather than to simply convert the wind power into a rotary motion and exploit the velocity. The torque is converted directly by a hydraulic generator into a water flow whose pressure is stabilized by a pressure vessel using compressed air to amortize the variances of the gusts of the wind. This stabilizes and steadies the power delivered by the water flow to the hydraulic motor over reasonable periods of time.
