    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection device in which fluid can be automatically injected to a man. SOLUTION: An injection device 10 comprises a drive assembly, and a throw- away assembly 20 including an injector assembly to be installed on the drive assembly. The drive assembly comprises a drive rod 46, and a spring 56 to press the drive rod to the injector. The spring 56 presses the drive rod 46 along an axial line of the device 10 to let a needle 38 of the injector assembly penetrate skin. The spring 56 continues to press the drive rod till the drive rod is engaged with a piston 32 in the injector assembly, so substance in the injector is discharged. A cap 16 detachably installed on the throw-away assebly, and a lock member provided on the throw-away assembly 20 prohibit removal of the cap 16 till the throw-away assembly is rotated to move to an actuation position. A lock release assembly releases engagement of the lock member when the throw-away assembly is rotated to the drive assembly.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection device in which fluid can be automatically injected to a human body. SOLUTION: An injection device 10 comprises a drive assembly which can be reused, and a throw-away assembly 20 including a sleeve 28 to contain an injector. The drive assembly is provided with a housing having an opened end part, and a collar 14 is installed on it. The collar 14 has a claw radially extended inward. The sleeve 28 comprises a cylindrical main body provided with a rib radially extended outward. The rib has a notch to be engaged with the claw. By engagement of the claw with the notch, removal of the throw-away assembly 20 from the drive assembly can be prohibited even in the case where an actuation button of the drive assembly is pushed in an early stage. For removing the throw-away assembly, the throw-away assembly is relatively rotated to the drive assembly, so the claw is removed from the notch.

    • A connector assembly (10) provided for efficient flow of liquid into and/or out of a vial, such as a vial (12) containing a lyophilized drug. The connector assembly features a collar (30) mountable to the rim of the vial in a locked position and thereafter removable by an end-user when disposal of the device is desired. A protective cap (50) mountable over the collar includes a annulus-type ring (61) at its proximal end which mounts over locking structure associated with the collar. The ring is secured to the protective cap via one or more user-severable connections. As the cap is urged proximally, the ring places the collar in the locked position with the vial rim, exerting an inwardly-directed force onto the locking structure to secure the collar to the vial rim. The cap (50) can be separated from the ring (61) at its user-servable connections, and the device used in its ordinary matter. When disposal is desired, the ring may be urged proximally out of engagement with the locking structure of the collar. The collar (30) may thereafter be removed from the vial to facilitate separate disposal of those components.
