    • 1461435 Organosiloxane compositions BAYER AG 3 July 1974 [4 July 1973] 29485/74 Heading C3T An organopolysiloxane sealing composition convertible in the presence of water into a fungiresistant rubbery-elastic state comprises an α,#-dihydroxypolydiorganosiloxane; an aminosilane, oximatosilane, acyloxysilane or amidosilane as cross-linking agent; and from 1-20% wt., of one or more solvents selected from dioxane, acrylonitrile, acetonitrile, trichloroethylene, butanesultone, butyl acetate and carbon tetrachloride; and optionally up to 70% wt. of an α,#-bis(triorganosiloxy)polydiorganosiloxane, optionally up to 5% wt. of a tin compound or amine as cross-linking accelerant and optionally 10-70% wt. of inert filler, and optionally a conventional fungicide, the percentages being based on the weight of the total composition. Suitable cross-linking agents are methyltriacetoxy silane, methyl tributanoneoxime silane and di-(N-methylbenzamido)- methylethoxysilane. The composition may be in the form of a one or two component system. In Examples 1-6 compositions are prepared from α,# - dihydroxypolydimethylsiloxane (18,000 cP or 50,000 cP), α,#-bis(trimethylsiloxy) polydimethylsiloxane (1300 cP), TiO 2 , silica and either (1) dioxane, methyltriacetoxysilane, di - tert - butoxy - diacetoxy silane (adhesion promoter) and dibutyltin diacetate; or (2)dioxane,methyltributanone-oxime silane and dibutyl tin dilaurate or (3) dioxane, chalk, carbon black, di(N - methylbenzamido-)methylethoxysilane, diacetoacetic ester of diisobutyl titanate and dibutyltin-dilaurate; or (4) butanesultone, methyltriacetoxysilane and optionally dimethyl dioctadecyl ammonium chloride (fungicide), or (5) acetonitrile, butane sultone and methyltriacetoxysilane.
