摘要： A method is disclosed for fluid processing a plurality of ophthalmic lenses 16' in a tank 48 of fluid including a plurality of fluid processing units 20, 24 in which the lenses 16' are removably located during the fluid processing, the method comprising the steps of; providing a carrier frame 32 in which the processing units 20, 24 are removably inserted, submerging the carrier frame 32 and processing units 20, 24 in the tank 48 of fluid with the processing units 20, 24 orientated in a substantially vertical position, commencing a first stage of fluid processing wherein the processing units 20,24 are submerged in the tank 48 for a first predetermined amount of time, rotating the carrier frame 32 and processing units 20, 24 at least 90{ whereby the processing units 20, 24 are rotated from the substantially vertical position to a substantially horizontal position in the tank 48, commencing a second stage of fluid processing wherein the processing units 20, 24 are submerged in the tank 48 for a second predetermined amount of time, and removing the carrier frame 32 and the processing units 20, 24 from the tank 48. Also disclosed is an apparatus for the fluid processing of ophthalmic lenses 16' utilising the above method.
