    • La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para tratamiento de superficies de madera o material basado en madera con las composiciones de tratamiento de superficie, y maderas o materiales basados en madera asi tratados. El metodo comprende las etapas siguientes: a) impregnacion de madera, material basado en madera o materiales de madera para produccion de un material basado en madera con una composicion acuosa curable que comprende por lo menos un compuesto reticulable el cual se selecciona de a) compuestos V de bajo peso molecular que tienen por lo menos dos grupos enlazados a N de la formula CH2OR, en donde R es hidrogeno o alquilo C1-C4, y/o un grupo 1,2-bishidroxietan-1,2-diilo que puentea dos atomos de nitrogeno, ??) precondensados del compuesto V y ?) productos de relacion o mezclas de compuesto V con por lo menos un alcohol el cual es seleccionado de alcanoles C1-C8, polioles C2-C8, y oligoalquilen glicoles; b) tratamiento del material obtenido en la etapa A) a temperatura elevada y, si fuera apropiado, un procedimiento adicional para producir un material basado en madera y c) tratamiento de por lo menos una superficie de madera o material basado en madera a ser tratado con una composicion de tratamiento de superficie y, si fuera apropiado, secar la superficie tratada de una manera conocida por si misma.

    • Method (M1) for determining radiation curing conditions for a coating material comprising a pigment, a binder and a photoinitiator comprises determining the integral transmission (T) of a pigment composition in a desired wavelength range and determining the variables required for radiation curing from T. Method (M1) for determining radiation curing conditions for a coating material comprising a pigment, a binder and a photoinitiator comprises providing a pigment composition or establishing the pigment composition necessary to achieve a desired color; measuring the reflectance spectrum of the pigment in the composition as a function of concentration, composition and/or film thickness; determining the concentration-specific absorption and scattering spectra (A and S) of the pigment from the measured reflectance spectrum in a desired wavelength range; measuring the reflectance (R) of a substrate in the desired spectral range; determining total absorption and total scattering values from the coating material on the substrate from A, S and R; determining the integral transmission (T) of the pigment composition in the desired wavelength range; and determining the variables required for radiation curing from T. Independent claims are also included for: (1) method (M2) for radiation curing a coating material as above on the basis of variables determined by M1; (2) apparatus for performing M2, comprising an irradiation unit, a computer and optionally a measuring unit, where the computer determines the required curing data by M1 and the irradiation unit performs the curing operation on the basis of the data; (3) business method for radiation curing in which a supplier provides a user with a program for performing M2 with an associated database comprising A and S data for pigments and substrates, or with data established with such a program, and the user performs a radiation curing operation on the basis of the data.
