    • AN INTELLIGENT ACOUSTIC SERENITY USING SELF ADJUSTABLE USER FRIENDLY IOT EMBEDDED MICROPHONE The development of telephone gave way to the invention of microphone. Early days it was just a device that enabled to transfer human voice over a pair of wires. But, history states that the term "microphone" was first applied to the stethoscope by Sir Charles Wheatstone in 1827. The generation of microphones states back from the era of Carbon Microphones to wireless microphones. Though lot of changes had been done on to the design for better transmission. Still few areas of handling the microphone remain untouched. The stages of microphones from Carbon Microphone, Double Button Carbon Microphone, Crystal Microphone, Condenser Microphones, The Bottle Microphones:- the first cardioid microphone, The Telly: switchable microphone, Dynamic Microphones: moving coils and ribbons. Ribbon Microphones and Electret Microphones after these versions, the second generation gave importance for directionality and Miniaturization. Shotgun Microphones and Wireless microphones are a result of that. But still the usage scenario of microphones are not assessed and addressed to the fullest. The microphone types can be chosen based on our purpose. But since microphones are used in various public places, the speaker using the microphone also should be taken into consideration which had not been addressed till date. India being a developing nation, where the literacy rates to 74.4%. Most of them remain unaware of technical skills and knowledge to handle electronic equipments, and so it would be tedious task to adjust a microphone to a perfect direction or angle, so as to avoid noise problems and to impart continuous and proper transmission of their sound waves. Our work addresses the issues of current microphones, no matter whatever is the purpose, or place of application it assess the speakers height and does necessary adjustments so as to ensure effective transmission of sound waves. In spite of the place of deployment, it considers the user, our work is user friendly in all aspects, children, visually impaired, people with neuro development disorder, and the elderly persons also can easily use this to communicate because it does not require any other technician's guidance or any other external person's help, and 1|P a g e proves it different than the usual ones we have seen. Our work eases the task of acoustic technicians, since we employ IOT and do the smart processing of sensing the speaker's sound signals and adjust the directionality angle by itself. Our approach would be a breakthrough in the era of conventional microphones. This would equip the users using the microphone with confidence and avoid embarrassing occasions and pave way for effective communication in all occasions.
