摘要： A multi-string well has an electric submersible pump (ESP) that can be removed without killing the well. A slotted liner is sealingly secured externally to casing and internally to a guide string that remains in the wellbore when the ESP is removed. A ported sub is part of the guide string and a concentric screen that can have instruments that moves relatively to the guide string can selectively allow flow in an annulus between them and to the ported sub or that annulus between the guide and concentric strings can be blocked off by manipulation of the concentric string to close the ported sub. With the lower portion of the well now blocked off, the wellhead can be removed so that the ESP can come out with the production string. The device has particular application to steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) systems as well as other downhole applications.

摘要： A method of producing a well utilizes a submersible pump (31) run on a line (39), such as braided wire rope, that includes power conductors. The operator sets a packer (15) in the casing (ll), the packer having a check valve (19) and a tieback receptacle (27). The operator pressure tests the integrity of the casing above the packer, and if it passes, then runs the pump assembly on the line. The pump assembly has a shroud (59) with a downward extending extension that seals to the passage of the packer. If the pressure test of the casing fails, the operator runs a liner (51) into the well and engages the tieback receptacle. A smaller diameter pump is then lowered on a line into the liner and into engagement with the packer. The installing and retrieving of the pump is performed without the use of tubing.

摘要： Methods and equipment are described for placement of an array of seismic sensor sets along a horizontal section of wellbore for monitoring microseismic activity during and after hydro-fracturing. A perforated wellbore liner is positioned in the horizontal wellbore production section with sonic transmission enhancement devices such as longitudinal blade centralizers for acoustically coupling seismic sensing devices to the production formation. Internally of the perforated liner, a coiled tube is placed having an array of signal cable connected seismic sensor sets. The seismic sensor sets are linked to the coiled tube wall by sonic transmission enhancement devices and the tube wall linked by acoustic transmission enhancement devices to the perforated liner.
