    • PURPOSE:To provide a heat exchanger having a superior anti-wear characteristic of a thermal conduction pipe and a superior vibration-proof characteristic as well as showing no excessive thermal load in a part of the thermal conduction pipe at the hot gas flowing part by a method wherein a cover is arranged for every thermal conduction pipe near the inlet port of hot temperature barrel fluid. CONSTITUTION:Circular buffle plates 6 having recessed portions are arranged among a plentiful thermal conduction pipe groups 1 held between the upper and lower pipe plates 8 and 10 in such a way as the positions of the recessed portions may be alternatively settled and the group 1 of the thermal conduction pipes at the first stage of the buffle at the inlet port 4 of the barrel fluid are arranged in such a way as they are covered with double-pipe groups 3. A relation between the thermal conduction pipes 1 and the outer pipe 3 is made such that they are a concentric double-circular pipe, and a clearance 2 of 0.5mm-1mm is present between the thermal conduction pipes 1 and the outer pipe 3. The outer pipe 3 is connected to the pipe plate 8. Hot barrel fluid enters the inlet nozzle 4 of the barrel and the fluid flows in a zig-zag form due to subsequent bending of flow by several buffle plates 6 among the thermal conduction pipe groups 1, then the fluid is discharged at the barrel fluid outlet nozzle 7. Due to a double-wall structure of the thermal conduction pipe groups in the first bending flow area at the first stage of the buffle plate, so that a rate of transparency of heat at this part is decreased and a flux of thermal flow is also decreased.

    • PURPOSE:To uniform and reduce a thermal load at the inlet port of cylinder side fluid and improve the vibration preventing property of heat transfer tube by a method wherein the heat exchanger is constituted so that the maximum inner diameter of the inlet nozzle of the cylinder side fluid has a specified dimensional ratio with respect to the inner diameter of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The maximum inner diameter Din of the inlet nozzle 6 of cylinder side fluid is made so as to have the dimensional ratio of 0.45 with respect to the inner diameter Ds of the cylinder. The degree of ununiformity in a heat transfer coefficient distribution is decreased remarkably as Din/Ds is decreased and the heat transfer coefficient distribution in the group of tubes is uniformed suddenly. When the degree F of ununiformity has become 0.3, a sufficient thermal reliability may be obtained even under a high thermal load and the value of Din/Ds upon this time is 0.45. On the other hand, enlargement of the ratio to a value higher than Din/Ds=1 has no meaning and the value of 0.45 becomes an upper limit. When the ratio Din/Ds is increased to the value of 0.5, the degree of ununiformity of heat transfer coefficient becomes 0.25. In this case, good heat transfer distribution may be obtained and the distribution is not changed substantially by the diameter of the inlet nozzle 6, therefore, the amount of total exchanging heat is not changed. On the other hand, a flow speed Uin at the inlet nozzle 6 of cylinder side fluid is decreased, therefore, it is favorable with respect to the fluid vibration of the heat transfer tube 4.
