摘要： A method and a device for adjusting one or more roll segments (1) in a continuous casting installation for metals, especially for steel materials, the rolls (1a) of which adjusted in the segment upper frame (2) and the segment lower frame (3) on frame cross members (5) by pairs (4) of hydraulic piston-cylinder units in a position-and/or pressure-controlled manner, wherein an operation for guiding and/or pressing the casting strands (6) is switched from a position-controlled to a pressure-controlled operation when pressure within the respective pair (4) of piston-cylinder units reaches a predetermined maximum value, whereby an improved reaction is effected by operating the piston-cylinder unit of every roll segment (1) in the case of overload, in subsequent steps at a reduced pressure or in a pressureless switching mode until the switching mode is reached in which the segment upper frame (2) can be opened to some extent.

摘要： A circuit breaker assembly is provided with a pair of contact elements defining therebetween an arc site across which an arc is struck upon separation of the contacts to break the circuit within which the breaker is connected. A compressed gas contained within a quenching chamber is caused to flow across the quenching site to quench the arc upon breaking of the contact. A pair of electrodes located within an auxilliary gas chamber operate to strike a second arc simultaneously with the circuit breaking operation in order to increase pressure in the auxiliary chamber thereby providing auxiliary power to enhance the circuit breaking operation and quenching of the main arc.

摘要： Rigid foams containing urethane and isocyanurate groups are made by reacting a polyisocyanate with a compound containing at least two isocyanate reactive hydrogen atoms in the presence of an aqueous solution of alkali metal carboxylate in accordance with known techniques. The aqueous alkali metal carboxylate solution has an alkali metal carboxylate content of from about 10 to about 50% by weight. The alkali metal carboxylates are preferably alkali metal acetates such as potassium acetate. This process is carried out at an index above 150. The product foams are particularly useful as insulating materials.

The collecting downpipe additionally serves for collecting the cooling water that is drained by the plurality of water drainage devices (110-n) and carrying it away in a decentralized manner.

In order to prevent kinks from forming on the rolled-up lock of hair, stopping levers (43) are arranged at both ends of the roller sleeve, which levers lie approximately radially with respect to the sleeve axis and are rotatably mounted on the latter, it being possible to couple the stopping levers with the roller sleeve (42) at least in the direction in which the lock of hair is unwound. The spindles (44, 45) of the stopping levers (43) are rotatable separately from each other and can be coupled with the roller sleeve (46) separately from each other (FIG. 6).

摘要： Rigid polyurethane foams are produced by reacting a polyisocyanate with a polyester containing at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms and having a molecular weight of 400 to 10,000 in the presence of water, an organic blowing agent, a flameproofing agent and a compound containing at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms and having a molecular weight in the range from 32 to 399 as crosslinking agent, optionally in the presence of known auxiliaries and additives. The polyester, the flameproofing agent and the crosslinking agent are used in quantities such that from about 15 to about 35 parts by weight of polyester, from about 50 to about 80 parts by weight flameproofing agent and from about 5 to about 15 parts by weight of crosslinking agent (with the sum of the parts by weight of these components adding up to 100) are present. These foams are useful as insulating materials in applications where flame resistance is important.
