    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selecting one or more transponders from a plurality of transponders by a base station, with which selection is made possible to improve reliability and reduce time and a chip area required for conversion in a transponder is reduced.
      SOLUTION: In the method, a random number is generated in a given transponder with the aid of a random number generator, the relevant random number generators is switched into a counter operating mode after the reception of a selection command transmitted by the base station, while a count state of the random number generator is decremented or incremented when the base station transmits the start of a time slot during the counter operating state, the relevant transponder transmits a transponder-specific identification to the base station if the count state of its random number generator is equal to a predetermined value, and the relevant random number generator is then switched back to the operating mode for random number generation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning method for an antenna resonance circuit of a passive transponder, by which the effective distance can be increased in the passive transponder employing high frequency electromagnetic carriers.
      SOLUTION: In the known methods for tuning the antenna resonance circuit in the case of passive transponders, their range in a high-frequency carrier field is generally limited to a few cm because the supply voltage for the integrated circuit obtained from the carrier field falls very quickly with the increasing of distance. According to the new method, the range of passive transponders in a high-frequency electromagnetic carrier field is substantially increased, in that the real and imaginary parts connected to the contact surface of the antenna contact are minimized and the energy absorbed from the carrier field by means of a serial resonance circuit is used to the greatest possible extent for generating the supply voltage to the integrated circuit of the transponder.
