    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing and unpacking method whereby a large quantity of a voluminous material is compressed and efficiently packed, unpacking is facilitated, and the repeated use of a bag is allowed.SOLUTION: The packing and unpacking method for the voluminous material includes the following steps (1) to (4): (1) A sealing step in which after the bag is filled with the voluminous material through an opening in an upper part of the bag, this opening is sealed by a sealing member. (2) A compression step in which air in the bag is sucked and expelled from an exhaust valve 1 of the sealed bag by a suction device, thereby compressing the bag. (3) An inverting step in which after this bag is suspended by locking locking-devices through at least one pair of handles provided in each of parts above and below the gravity of the compressed bag, and while the upper handles are kept in the positions, the lower handles are suspended in different positions, thereby turning the bag upside down. (4) A discharging step in which while the bag is kept inverted, a sealing member, which seals the opening of the bag, is detached and content of the bag is discharged.
