    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod structure capable of improving lubrication at a periphery of a piston pin.
      SOLUTION: In the connecting rod structure 1 having a small end portion 3 of a connecting rod connected with a piston 9 by arranging first and second end portions 3a and 3b so as to hold a pin boss 10 formed on the piston 9 and by inserting a piston pin 7 into a pin hole 12 arranged in the pin boss 10 and pin holes 5a and 5b respectively arranged in the first and second end portions 3a and 3b in the small end portion 3 of the connecting rod having the first and second end portions 3a and 3b, the connecting rod structure, in which lubricating oil leading means 6a, 6b, 13a, and 13b are arranged on at least one of the first and second end portions 3a and 3b, is provided therein. Lubricating oil is effectively led and supplied to the piston pin 7 by the lubricating oil leading means arranged on the end portions 3a and 3b in the connecting rod, and lubrication in the vicinity of the piston pin is improved.

      SOLUTION: The piston 1A of the internal combustion engine is equipped with a head 2A, a first and a second pin bosses 3, 4 provided in the lower part of the head 2A, first side walls 5A provided on both sides of the first pin boss 3, and second side walls 6A provided on both sides of the second pin boss 4, and has a side wall structure wherein the first and second side walls 5A, 6A are coupled together by inclining them inward as going apart from the head 2A. In this side wall structure, the head 2A and the first and second side walls 5A and 6A constitute a cavity 7A.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional piston that stress concentration occurs in a boundary part between a skirt part and a side wall part, and there is a possibility to have damage such as a crack depending on the degree of the load.
      SOLUTION: The piston is provided with a pair of the side wall parts 16 having a pin boss 14 and a piston pin attachment hole 15 opened respectively, a pair of the skirt parts 17 confronting with each other while having the piston boss 14 therebetween and having a circumferential end connected to the pair of the side wall parts 16, and a stress dispersion part formed in a connection region 18 of the side wall part 16 and the skirt part 17. The stress dispersion part may include an extended part 19 formed on the pair of the side wall pars 16 on a connection end side with the skirt part 17, and protruded to be extended from the skirt part 17, and has a base end formed at least on a terminal side of the connection region 18 positioned on a head part 13 side.
