    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely treat prescribed soil, while making the most of an advantage capable of easily and inexpensively treating soil in less manhours in a short construction period. SOLUTION: In this soil treating device and the soil treating method by the device, an expandable and contractible rotary head 1 put in a contracted state is intruded while excavating and agitating midway soil toward a treating object soil layer 40 from aboveground; the treating object soil layer is excavated and agitated by the rotary head 1 put in an expanded state; the soil is treated by adding and injecting a soil treating additive; after treating the soil, the rotary head 1 is put in the contracted state; and is turned on the ground; and is retreated while agitating the midway soil. An expanded and contracted state of the rotary head 1 is detected by an expanded and contracted state detecting means (such as a potentiometer ER); the depth of the rotary head in the soil is detected by a depth detecting means (such as a rotary encoder RE); and an additive injection quantity from the rotary head is detected by an additive injection quantity detecting means (such as a flow rate detector FM1), respectively. Detecting information by the respective detecting means is displayed in real time on displays DL1 and DL2. The soil is treated by operating the soil treating device, while allowing a soil treating device operator to visually confirm the detecting information displayed on the displays.
