摘要： Systems and methods can be implemented on a wireless device and base stations to facilitate uplink synchronization. The wireless device can transmit a random access preamble to at least one base station serving the wireless device to initiate a random access procedure. The wireless device can identify a signal propagation time associated with the position of the wireless device and the position of the at least one base station serving the wireless device. The wireless device can also identify a positive time advance based on the identified signal propagation time for transmitting the random access preamble. Further, the wireless device can transmit the random access preamble to the at least one base station based on the identified time advance for random access.
