摘要： A system and method for flexibly visualizing and selecting configuration changes over time is disclosed herein. The system may include a coarse selection interface configured to select one of a coarse time range and a discrete point in time from an available overall set of discrete points in time, a fine selection interface configured to select one of a fine time range and the discrete point in time from the selected one of the coarse time range and the discrete point in time, and a visualization panel configured to display a graphical representation of configuration changes selected through the fine selection interface. The method may include selecting the coarse time range on the coarse selection interface, selecting the fine time range on a fine selection interface, and visualizing the graphical representation on the visualization panel.

The apparatus includes an identifier module for associating at least one visual identifier with a computer system component. A function module associates one or more control functions with the visual identifier. A monitoring module monitors the computer system component associated with the at least one identifier and modifies the identifier in response to a change in operational status for the computer system component.

摘要： According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for displaying and comparing storage zoning configurations is provided. The method comprises generating a table representing data paths between a plurality of source and target devices in a storage area network. Symbols are added symbols to the table, the symbols indicating whether communication between particular source and target devices along a particular data path is permitted, or not permitted, according to defined zone sets. The portions of the table may be sorted according to at least one desired parameter using a user interface. Also, a new zone set may be defined in response to a change in at least one of the values in the table made through a user interface.
