    • PURPOSE:To make a head top with the same curvature as a deformation curva ture of a grinding sheet by forming a load pressure utilizing negative pressure by relatively moving the grinding sheet against a magnetic head at an opposite velocity being equal to that of an information recording disk. Accordingly, even if there is an assembly error of the supporting member 5 and the head 1, as for this error, by grinding the surface in accordance with deformation of a grinding sheet 11 which is deformed in the same way as the disk 3 of an actual machine, an optimum curvature of the head top 2 corresponding to a magnetic head assembly 4 is obtained.
