摘要： A water pump assembly for an aquarium aeration system includes a housing surrounding an electric pump. Within the housing, a water conduit passes an impeller of the pump for the generation of a stream of moving water. An air-breather conduit conducts air from a location above the housing to an air-induction port in a sidewall of the water conduit. The aquarium power head is provided with a clamp for attaching the power head to the aquarium tank. The clamp has a ring which mates a tubular inlet portion of the housing and engages that inlet portion. A flow diverter to adjust the water flow exiting the power head in a desired direction is adjustably connected to the outlet portion of the housing of the power head.

摘要： A safety device for use in a suction outlet assembly of a swimming pool, whirlpool, spa or the like is disclosed. More particularly, the outlet assembly has an opening therein in communication with a pump adapted to create sufficient suction for causing fluid flow through the outlet assembly and a cover mounted over the opening without substantially obstructing fluid flow therethrough. The safety device includes an obstructing mechanism for obstructing the opening when the cover is not properly positioned or affixed to the outlet assembly, whereby fluid flow through the outlet assembly is substantially prevented even if the pump is in operation.

摘要： A chemical feeder for use in a water circulation system includes a body, a head attached to the top of the body, and a flow passage extending through the head. A portion of the water flowing through the flow passage is diverted into the body, where the water mixes with chemical tablets contained therein. A strainer is positioned inside the body and a stand pipe connects the strainer to the flow passage. Venturi forces within the flow passage draw the chemical solution from the body and into the flow passage, where the chemical solution mixes with the water flowing therethrough. It is possible to control the concentration of the chemical solution by controlling the flow of fluid from the flow passage into the body.

摘要： An improved wand for connecting a vacuum cleaner and power nozzle is disclosed. The wand includes a sheath, an upper wand assembly received in the sheath and detachably connected to the vacuum cleaner hose handle, and a lower wand assembly received in the sheath and releasably connected therein to the upper wand assembly. A resilient plug body is provided for attachment to the hose handle to be connected to the cord of the sheath. The plug body contains at least two electrical connectors separated by a slit to provide a limited degree of flexibility in the plug body to insure a good connection despite any possible minor misaligment with the opposing connectors on the cord. The upper end of the lower wand assembly has a leaf spring with a button on its underside protruding through a hole in the lower wand assembly to engage a similar hole in the upper wand assembly. The sheath has an axially slidable cam element for sliding under and raising the free end of the spring another version, the wand assemblies are connected by means of an omega spring in the upper assembly having a button protruding through holes in both assemblies. In this version, the sheath has a depressable release element having an S-spring on its underside to depress the omega spring and release the lower assembly.
