    • The present invention relates to an electromagnetic actuator drive (1) for adjusting an actuator drive among at least three positions, comprising a soft magnetic armature (2) which is drive-coupled to the final controlling element and has a plurality of armature faces (5, 6), a plurality of soft magnetic pole elements (7) having a plurality of pole faces (8, 9) on which the armature faces (5, 6) come to rest in two end positions of the armature (2) a restore position (10) which drives the armature (2) by spring force into a horizontal starting position, and a holding device (11) with the help of which the armature (2) can be secured in its end positions by electromagnetic forces.To implement the actuator drive (1) less expensively, an even number of at least four pole elements (7) may be provided, a separate electromagnetic coil (12) being assigned to each pole element (7) and electric power being applied to the holding device (11) for securing the armature (2) in its end positions, the holding device applying electric current to the coils (12) so that the pole faces (8, 9) of adjacent pole elements (7) are oppositely polarized.

    • A piston engine (10), in particular in a motor vehicle, has a plurality of cylinders (3) whose combustion chambers (4) are connected to a fresh gas system (5). The fresh gas system (5) has two gas paths, namely a full-load path (9) and a partial-load path (10), for at least one of the cylinders (3), through which the fresh gas (6) can be supplied to the respective combustion chamber (4). To this end, a valve arrangement (11) at the intake end is provided for controlling the fresh gas stream through the gas paths (9, 10) into the respective combustion chamber (4). For actuation of the valve arrangement (11), a control unit (13) is provided, the control unit being designed so that it permanently blocks the full-load path (9) through appropriate control of the valve arrangement (11) at partial load and actuates the partial-load path (10) for controlling the fresh gas stream and through appropriate control of the valve arrangement (11) at full load, it actuates at least the full-load path (9) for controlling the fresh gas stream.

    • A fresh gas system for a piston engine has a collecting line for supplying fresh air to multiple individual lines. The fresh gas system has the collecting line which is unthrottled and a control unit for actuation of the additional valves is designed so that it subdivides a fresh gas charge of the combustion chamber which depends on the load state into two charging phases (A, B) within an intake time window (T). This is limited by the opening and closing of the intake valve such that it actuates the additional valve to close within the intake time window (T) at a closing point in (TS). This depends on the load state and then actuates it to open at a later opening point in time (TO) that depends on the load state of the piston engine.

    • An internal combustion engine system includes a fresh air system, an exhaust gas system and an exhaust gas recirculation system. The exhaust gas recirculation system has an exhaust gas valve assembly for controlling a removal flow at a recirculation line removal point and a fresh air valve assembly for controlling an introduction flow at a fresh air line introduction point. The exhaust gas valve assembly is permanently displaceable between a first position and a second position for generating the removal flow. The fresh air valve assembly is permanently displaceable between a first position and a second position for generating the introduction flow. The valve assemblies are synchronized such that the positive pressure pulses entering at the removal point into the recirculation line meet the negative pressure pulses at the introduction point.
