    • The present invention relates to a process for separating at least one first substance from a mixture comprising this at least one first substance and at least one second substance, comprising the steps of (A) bringing the mixture comprising at least one first substance and at least one second substance into contact with at least one surface-active substance, (B) if required, addition of at least one dispersing medium to the mixture obtained in step (A) in order to obtain a dispersion, and (C) separation of the adduct of at least one first substance and at least one surface-active substance from the dispersion from step (A) or (B), for example by means of flotation, at least one additive which is either a monomolecular compound comprising amino and carboxyl groups or derivatives thereof or a polymeric compound obtainable by reaction of alkylene oxides and/or aziridines, or mixtures thereof, being added to the mixture comprising at least one first substance and at least one second substance.

    • The present invention is directed to a release package, a preform, of the release package, and a method for releasably packaging a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive. The method for releasably packaging a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive comprises:coating a face of a continuous sheet of heat sealable film with a silicone coating, said continuous sheet having two opposing longitudinal edges, namely a first longitudinal edge and an opposite longitudinal edge, the coating providing a pattern such that an area along at least one of the two opposing edges is uncoated and capable of forming a heat seal with another uncoated portion of the film;adhering a micronized powder to the siliconized coating of the continuous sheet to form a siliconized and powdered preform;heat sealing the uncoated edge of the preform to the opposite edge of the preform to form a continuous tubular film capable of receiving and powder coating an extruded hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive therein;extruding a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive into the continuous tubular film; andcrimping the continuous tubular film at a predetermined distance such that a predetermined amount of the extruded hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive is isolated and powder coated between at least two of the crimps.

    • The present invention is directed to a rubber based non-pressure sensitive hot melt adhesive composition and disposable diapers of the two or three ply type that are constructed using the adhesive. The rubber based non-pressure sensitive hot melt of the present invention comprises:(A) from about 15% to about 39% of A-B-A or A-B-A-B-A-B multi-block copolymer wherein polymer blocks A are styrene blocks and polymer blocks B are butadiene blocks or hydrogenated butadiene blocks and wherein said polymer blocks A comprise from about 15 parts to about 60 parts per 100 parts polymer;(b) from about 50% to about 75% by weight of one or more compatible tackifying resins having a composite Ring and Ball softening point from about 25.degree. C. to about 50.degree. C.;(c) from about 2.5% to about 10% by weight of one or more waves; and(d) from about 0.1% to about 1.5% by weight of one or more antioxidant type stabilizers.The adhesive of the present invention has no pressure sensitivity, an extremely long open time when applied to low temperatures and a very steep viscosity profile below the application temperature.

    • The present invention is directed to a method for the waste-free packaging for a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive that comprises extruding a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive into a continuous tubular film, wherein the film is compatible with being integrated into the composition of the hot-melt adhesive composition; and crimping the continuous tubular film at a predetermined distance such that a predetermined amount of the hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive is isolated between at least two of the crimps to produce a compatibly packaged hot-melt adhesive composition. By melting the compatibly packaged hot-melt adhesive composition in a glue pot, the compatible packaging becomes compatibly integrated into the molten hot-melt adhesive composition.

    • The present invention is directed to both a water dispersible hot melt adhesive composition and to repulpable books bound using the water dispersible adhesive of the present invention. The adhesive composition of the present invention comprises:a) from about 40% to 95% by weight of a water dispersible ionically substituted polyester resin having a molecular weight from about 10,000 to about 20,000 daltons;b) from about 60% to about 5% by weight of one or more compatible plasticizers; andc) from about 0.1% to about 1.5% of one or more compatible stabilizers of the anti-oxidant type.Optionally, the adhesive composition may further include one or more compatible tackifiers in a total amount up to 30% of the weight of the adhesive composition.
