摘要： An oil or organic solvent-absorbent is prepared by extruding a molten thermoplastic resinous polymer blend of polystyrene and polyethylene containing a foaming agent through a die having a slit aperture of 0.1 - 1.0 mm width, quenching the extrudate at the die exit to a temperature below the glass transition point of the resinous blend, drafting the extrudate at a draft ratio from the maximum draft ratio possible under the operating conditions to one-third the maximum draft ratio, laminating at least two sheets of the resulting unopened, sheet-like reticulated structure having numerous non-continuous cracks along one direction so that the direction of the cracks of each such sheet is the same, pulling the laminate in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the cracks to separate the constituent fibers from each other, and crimping the opened, sheet-like laminate either alone or together with at least one other sheet-like material; a process for removing oil or organic solvents with the absorbent product.

摘要： A composite structure is prepared by extruding a molten thermoplastic resin and foaming agent through a die and simultaneously quenching and taking-up the extrudate under such conditions that the extrudate is fibrillated just as it leaves the die exit without passing through the foamed state. The unopened, sheet-formed and reticulated fibrous structures thus obtained are laminated, pulled apart and pressed. The composite product consists of a fine and uniform fibrillar structure having superior mechanical strength and pliability and are useful for a wide range of applications such as paper substitute, artificial wood veneer and the like. Colored products are also described.

摘要： A sheet feeding device includes a sheet supporting portion, a sheet feeding portion, and a movable regulating portion. The sheet feeding portion feeds a sheet bundle uppermost sheet. The movable regulating portion is disposed downstream of the sheet bundle in a sheet feeding direction such that the movable regulating portion is tiltable between a regulation position and a regulation release position. While the movable regulating portion regulates the sheet bundle movement in the regulation position, the sheet feeding portion forms a loop in the uppermost sheet between the sheet feeding portion and the movable regulating portion, the movable regulating portion is moved to the regulation release position after loop formation to remove the formed loop, and the movable regulating portion is returned to the regulation position after loop removal such that the movable regulating portion raises the uppermost sheet leading end to separate the uppermost sheet from other sheets.
