摘要： A system for the automated cultivation of plants includes a plurality of guide rail pairs which support conveyor driven jigs carrying individual plants thereon. As the plants are driven by the conveyors, the driving elements or dogs on successive conveyors are increasingly spaced, so as to allow for the steady growth of the plants. The guide rails are arranged in a radial array to allow for increasing side-wise plant clearance, and are orificed as a means of providing the plants with air and nutrients.

摘要： Silica powder or a mixture of silica powder and silicon nitride whisker is heated at a temperature ranging from 800.degree. C. to 1,700.degree. C. in a gas mixture of ammonia gas (NH.sub.3) and hydrocarbon gas (C.sub.m H.sub.n) so as to produce silicon nitride whisker. The gas mixture flows at the rate of 10 mm/sec or less. The NH.sub.3 /CH.sub.4 ratio of the ammonia to the hydrocarbon, expressed as CH.sub.4, ranges from 0.5:1 to 2000:1 by volume. The silica powder is preferably mixed with at least one of six catalysts: transition metals; alkali metals; alkaline earth metals; halides of transition metals; halides of alkali metals; and alkaline earth metals. One mol part of the silica powder is mixed with 0.001-1.0 mol part of the catalyst.

摘要： An apparatus for monitoring gas dissolved in an electrically insulating oil used in an electrical apparatus comprises a sampling device connected to a tank for sampling a portion of the insulating oil from the electrical apparatus, an extracting device connected to the sampling device for extracting a volume of dissolved gas from the portion of the insulating oil in the sampling device, and a measuring device connected to the extracting device for measuring the components of the dissolved gas. All of the volume of dissolved gas is delivered from the extracting device either by pumping the oil from the tank to the extracting device to force the dissolved gas to the measuring device or by using a plate of the extracting device to force the dissolved gas therefrom. All of the volume of dissolved gas measured is exhausted from the measuring device. The portion of the insulating oil remaining in the extracting device is returned to the tank.
