    • A content transmission device receives broadcast data composed of a plurality of contents from another broadcasting station, converts the broadcast data to own-station broadcast data, and transmits the converted broadcast data. The content transmission device stores a plurality processing models, each having corresponding identity information, composition information indicating content scheduled for inclusion in the broadcast data, normal-case processing information, and irregular-case processing information. The content transmission device acquires identity information from an external device that manages the broadcasting schedule for the broadcast data, and selects the corresponding processing model. The content transmission device detects received broadcast data portions different from those indicated by the composition information in the selected processing model. Based on the result of the detection and the selected processing model, the content transmission device performs normal-case processing on non-differing portions of the scheduled composition and irregular-case processing on differing portions. Having thus processed the broadcast data, the content transmission device transmits the converted data as an own-station broadcast.

    • The program-for-cache determining unit 107 counts the number of contents (a corresponding contents number) that are to use reproduction programs, for each reproduction program transmitted over each channel during the current service period and onward up to the last service period shown in the broadcast information, and determines a reproduction program that has the highest corresponding contents number, as the one to be cached. The program-for-cache determining unit 107 also determines the service period and channel during and over which the determined reproduction program is to be cached. The cache unit 108 instructs the demultiplexing/decoding unit 104 to demultiplex and decode the reproduction program corresponding to the determined channel and store it in the reproduction program storage unit 109.

    • A receiving unit (101) of a print data generating apparatus (100), which enables a printing that reflects user's preferences even in a digital broadcasting environment, receives and modulates digital broadcast waves. A video/data separating unit (102) separates a signal received from the receiving unit (101) into a video packet, an audio packet and a data packet that includes print information. A print information storing unit (104) is a RAM for storing print information, or the like, and reads the print information from the data packet received from the video/data separating unit (102), and stores it. A print information converting unit (108) reads the print information stored in the print information storing unit (104) and image data stored in an image storing unit (106), updates the print information by inserting, into the print information, image information representing the image data, based on the read-out print information and image data, and transmits the updated print information to a print information notifying unit (109). The print information notifying unit (109) transmits the received print information to a printing apparatus (120).
