    • An image transformation apparatus is provided, which includes a modeling unit 5 that calculates the coordinates of vertices of each polygon and calculates a pre-filter coefficient corresponding to a reduction ratio at the position of a vertex of each polygon, with respect to a model to which an image is attached to; a texture address unit 6 that converts the coordinates of vertices of each polygon calculated in the modeling unit 5 into the coordinates of each pixel and sets a read address for attaching an image to the model using the coordinates of each pixel; a filter coefficient unit 7 that converts a pre-filter coefficient calculated in the modeling unit 5 into a pre-filter coefficient at the position of each pixel; an H-direction pre-filter 9, an HV scan converter 10 and a V-direction pre-filter 11 that perform filtering on input image data with a pre-filter coefficient obtained through conversion in the filter coefficient unit 7; a texture memory 13 to which image data filtered in the H-direction pre-filter 9, HV scan converter 10 and V-direction pre-filter 11, is written; and a texture memory controller 12 which reads out image data from the texture memory 13 in accordance with a read address set in the texture address unit 6.

    • A separator includes an electrically conductive flat plate and two electrically conductive channel plates superposed on each other with the electrically conductive flat plate interposed therebetween. The separator includes a plurality of manifolds for passing a reaction fluid to an adjacent cell are provided in the electrically conductive flat plate, and a plurality of zigzag or straight through-channels for permitting the flowing of the reaction fluid from the manifolds are formed in each of the two channel plates. The separator includes the through-channels in any one of the two electrically conductive channel plates disposed so that they are partially overlapped with the manifolds in the electrically conductive flat plate, and the through-channels in the other electrically conductive channel plate are formed to be partially larger than the contour of the electrically conductive flat plate.

    • The present invention provides a separator for a fuel cell constructed using a metallic pressed plate, in which a gas channel from a manifold to an electrode surface is formed simply, and a good sealing characteristic is realized. The separator is comprised of a metallic pressed plate, a resinous frame member, and a sealing frame having a sealing material integrated therewith, and a channel for introducing a gas from the manifold to an electrode surface is formed by a metallic surface, the sealing material and a resinous surface. An elastomer such as a rubber is used for the sealing material. Thus, the gas channel from the manifold to the electrode surface can be formed simply, and an excellent sealing characteristic to the gas and water is obtained.
