摘要： A thermal fixing roller system includes a heater roller and a pressure roller between which a copy paper is driven to travel for fixing a toner image carried on the copy paper. A heater is disposed in the heater roller for maintaining the surface temperature of the heater roller around a preselected temperature. When the main power supply switch is switched on, the heater roller and the pressure roller are driven to rotate before the surface temperature of the heater roller reaches the preselected temperature. When the surface temperature of the heater roller reaches the preselected temperature, a ready lamp is energized, and the rotation of the heater roller and the pressure roller is terminated, at which the pressure roller is warmed up to a desired temperature.

摘要： New blue inks are provided for inkjet printing, especially using piezoelectric printers, on papers which are typically difficult to print with good quality, high-contrast images. The inks are characterized by a color of the ink (color illumination D65) of L*: about 37±5, a*: about 7±7, b*: about −27±8. The inks contain an aqueous vehicle including water and a humectant comprising a polyhydric alcohol, a penetrant, surfactant, and a blue dye. The relative amounts of the aqueous vehicle, the penetrant, the surfactant and the blue dye, are effective to provide an ink having a viscosity and surface tension effective for inkjet printing, especially for piezoelectric printing, having a viscosity of from about 2 to about 4 mPa·s and a surface tension of from 30 to 50 mN/m. Also provided are a process for printing an image and a printed image prepared using the ink.

The black pigment is a negatively-chargeable and self-dispersible pigment. The dye has a fluorescein structure. The color ink further contains an alkylamine ethylene oxide adduct. The water-soluble organic solvent contained in the black ink is same as that contained in the color ink. With the ink set, not only the bleeding hardly occurs but also satisfactory discharge stability is obtained even when an ink-jet recording is performed on a regular paper.
