摘要： The present invention makes arrangements for preventing data overflow from storage areas of store-type terminals in a data broadcast system distributing data over broadcast. There are provided a storage management part for managing storage areas of receiving machines, a database part for holding contents data and storage management information, which is data for managing the capacities of storage areas of the receiving machines, and a schedule management part for scheduling data distribution, wherein the storage management part uses a change history of storage management information and data contents held in the database part to perform control such as deletion, size decrease, addition, and size increase of the contents data, and the schedule management part manages the capacities of storage areas of the receiving machines by scheduling the distribution of data to the receiving machines.

The size of a recording sheet on which the input data is to be recorded is selected from the set plurality of sizes and the input data is recorded on the selected recording sheet. When no recording sheet of a size equal to or greater than the size of the input data is set, the size of the input data is compared with the sizes M times (M: an integer) as much as the plurality of sizes of recording sheets, respectively, and (1) if any of the M times sizes is equal to or greater than the size of the input data, it is selected as the size of recording sheet on which the input data is to be recorded. 摘要： In a data communication apparatus having an abbreviated dialing function, data referred to when performing abbreviated dialing is prevented from vanishing in the event of a malfunction or power failure. This is achieved by providing the apparatus with an internal non-volatile storage device in addition to a memory which stores information referred to when communicating with another party. The information which has been stored in the memory is preserved in the non-volatile storage device. If the information in the memory vanishes, the preserved information is restored by being loaded into the memory from the non-volatile storage device.
