    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge tank for an internal combustion engine capable of favorably securing suction inertia effect while securing suction air distribution performance to each cylinder in the internal combustion engine.
      SOLUTION: This surge tank comprises a main body having an introducing port to be connected to an intake passage in the internal combustion engine, and branch ports 23a provided in parallel to be perpendicular to the flow direction of suction air flowing from the introducing port to be respectively connected to the cylinders in the internal combustion engine, so that suction air flowing from the introducing port into the main body is distributed to be supplied to each branch port 23a. It has a projected part 25 positioned on flow lines of suction air flowing from the introducing port, and projected from an inner wall 24b of the main body toward the upstream side of the flow lines. The projected part 25 has a sharp end part 25a on the introducing port side, and it is provided with an inclination surface 25b to direct flow of suction air flowing from the introducing port toward the branch ports 23a from the sharp end part 25a.
