    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control device for a six-speed type automatic transmission which is enabled to perform a fail-safe process even during the trouble of wire severance without improving an ECU or adding a fail-safe valve.
      SOLUTION: A second on/off-solenoid valve S2 of a normal low type controls a spool position of a fourth shift valve 26. When disconnection occurs during energizing the second on/off-solenoid valve S2, a fourth on/off-solenoid valve S4 of a normal high type and a shuttle valve SB maintain the spool position of the fourth shift valve 26 before disconnection. The shuttle valve SB inputs the signal pressure of the second on/off-solenoid valve S2 and the fourth on/off-solenoid valve S4 and supplies one or both signal pressure to the fourth shift valve 26. The fourth on/off-solenoid valve S4 is controlled to be reversely synchronized with the energizing control of the second on/off-solenoid valve S2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the safe travel of a vehicle even by manually shifting to a third-, second-, or L-speed range during travelling at a 6th-speed in a D-range.
      SOLUTION: An inhibitor valve 22 supplies 32L pressure from a manual valve 21 to a second hydraulic pressure chamber 26d of a fourth shift valve 26 in a state that a second on-off solenoid valve S2 is not energized. The inhibitor valve 22 interrupts the 32L pressure from the manual valve 21 to inhibit the supply low speed range limited 32L pressure to the second hydraulic pressure chamber 26d of the fourth shift valve 26 in a state that the second on-off solenoid valve S2 is energized. When the manual valve 21 is operated from a D-range of a 6th-speed or a predetermined speed or higher into a low-speed range (third-, second-, or L-speed range), an electronic control part 4 controls the second on-off solenoid valve S2 to be energized to constitute a 5th-speed until it gets to a speed lower than a predetermined speed.
