    • The present invention relates to a method, load (12) and display device (10) where an output parameter value (V) of a power supply (14) coupled to a separate load (12) is regulated. The load (12) demands at least one such parameter value (V) from the power supply (14). The power supply (14) delivers the output parameter value (V) to the load (12). The load (12) comprises a control signal setting unit (16), which receives information relating to the output parameter value (V) and is connected to the power supply (14) for delivering a control signal (VC). The control signal (VC) includes information relating to the output parameter value (V) and is used by the power supply (14) for regulating the output parameter value (V). This makes the control signal setting unit (16) part of a feedback loop. The parameter value is preferably an output voltage, the load a plasma display panel and the display device a television set.

    • A video signal enhancement unit (100) and an image display apparatus containing the unit have a processing unit (102) for contrast modification of the video signal. The processing unit (102) receives input data from a contrast counter (112), designed to store a contrast count. The contrast count is decreased by a pixel counter (104) each time the total number of pixels which have video signal levels that are higher than a predetermined video level, exceeds a predefined threshold. The contrast count is increased each time a trigger means (114) generates a pulse. A contrast comparator (116) can be coupled to the contrast counter (112) to limit the contrast count to a maximum contrast value.

    • The present invention relates to an image enhancement unit and a method of enhancing a first structure (S1) of samples into a second structure (S2) of samples, the first and the second structure both representing a first property of a scene and having a first resolution, based on a third structure (S3) of samples representing a second property and having the first resolution, the first property and the second property respectively representing different properties of substantially the same scene. The invention further relates to an image-processing unit comprising an image enhancement unit according to the invention as well as to a computer program product.
