      2 concentration of 5.0-15.0 mass% to hydrothermal treatment under stirring; a mixed slurry-forming step for obtaining mixed slurry of the silica hydrogel fine particles and the zinc oxide fine particles by introducing the zinc oxide fine particles in a primary particle state having an average particle diameter of 0.1-0.5 μm into the micronized silica hydrogel slurry; and a drying step for drying the mixed slurry.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing porous inorganic powder having excellent re-dispersibility without causing hard caking in a water-based medium when the powder is blended in the water-based medium.
      SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the porous inorganic powder having excellent re-dispersibility includes: a first step for adding the solution of an organic solvent containing a silicone-based compound into the porous inorganic powder having fine pores in a quantity equivalent to fill 20-70 vol% of pore volume and introducing the silicone-based compound into the fine pores while mixing and stirring substantially in a dry state; and a second step for heating the treated inorganic powder to dry the inorganic powder and to remove the organic solvent and supporting the silicone-based compound in the fine pores. Silica gel, zeolite, carbon black or the like is preferably used as the porous inorganic powder. Methyl hydrogen silicone oil, dimethyl silicone oil, epoxy-modified silicone oil, amino-modified silicone oil and the like are preferably used as the silicone-based compound.
