    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jitter measuring device capable of eliminating unnecessary detection signals and measuring variance of scanning time in an image forming apparatus of a galvano scanner system. SOLUTION: This is the jitter measuring device of a galvano scanner that scans a light beam on a surface (23) to be scanned by periodically rotatably reciprocating a reflection mirror 10. The device is equipped with two detectors A, B that are installed near both ends of a light beam scanning region to receive and detect light beams, two extracting means 1 that extract the first detection signal of the detectors A, B each time the reflection mirror 10 starts to operate for one scanning, and a means 2 for computing the required time on one scanning from the detection signals extracted by the two extracting means 1.
