    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing assembly, which has small dimensions and short production times, and which at the same time has a good sealing performance with regards to external contamination also in presence of high offset positions of mechanical elements inserted in between when in use.SOLUTION: A sealing assembly 1 for insertion between first and second mechanical elements subjected to offset positioning, includes an elastomeric sealing element 9 in which a reinforcement ring 8 is embedded. The sealing element 9 includes an annular membrane 10 free from the reinforcement ring. The membrane extends to protrude from the reinforcement ring, towards a symmetry axis of the sealing assembly and ends with an annular sealing lip intended to slidingly cooperate with the first mechanical element. The membrane 10 has, in radial direction, a relatively thin thickness, thinner than that of the sealing lip 12, so as to be highly flexible. A plurality of stiffening ribs 19 are obtained in one piece with the membrane 10, as localized thickenings of the membrane, and extend in the axial direction parallel to one another, spaced apart from one another to form on the membrane 10 a crown of radial projections.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling of a stopper element of a piston and to reduce the length and weight of a shock absorber.SOLUTION: A guiding and sealing unit includes a sealing ring 12 made of an elastic material and a metallic annular reinforcing structure 14 having a first flange-shaped portion 15 abuttingly arranged against an end of a bush and a sleeve-shaped portion 16 operatively associated to an annular sealing lip. The sealing ring has a flange-shaped portion 18 which radially extends from a root portion 19 of the at least one annular sealing lip, and an annular projection 20 integrally formed with the flange-shaped portion 18, which axially and protrudingly extends from a side facing a piston 5 and is adapted to form a limit stop element for the piston 5 in use. The flange-shaped portion 15 of the annular reinforcing structure 14 is coupled to the flange-shaped portion of the sealing ring 18 and extends under the annular projection 20.
