    • Die Erfindung beschreibt einen Schi (2) oder ein Snowboard in der Gestalt eines brettartigen Gleitgerätes (1). Bezug nehmend auf die Breite des Gleitgerätes (1) ist in dessen mittleren Abschnitt zumindest eine Vertiefung (14) ausgebildet, die sich in ihrer Tiefenrichtung – Pfeil – ausgehend von der Oberseite (7) des Gleitgerätes (1) in Richtung zum Laufflächenbelag und in ihrer Längsrichtung im Wesentlichen parallel zur Längsrichtung des Gleitgerätes (1) erstreckt und ausgebildet ist, um eine Querschnittsschwächung zu bewirken. Dabei ist zumindest ein manuell einstellbares Stellmittel (20) ausgebildet, das zur individuell einstellbaren Veränderung der belastungsabhängigen Verformbarkeit der Querschnittsform oder zur individuell einstellbaren Begrenzung der maximal zugelassenen, belastungsabhängigen Querschnittsverformung des Gleitgerätes (1) eingerichtet ist. Weiters betrifft die Erfindung einen Schi (2) oder ein Snowboard, bei welchem ein manuell einstellbares Stellmittel (20) eingerichtet ist, das zum einen als Spreizmittel zur individuell einstellbaren Vergrösserung der Breite (19) der Vertiefung (14) und zum anderen als Zugmittel zur individuell einstellbaren Verkleinerung der Breite (19) der Vertiefung (14) ausgebildet ist.
