摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acrylic polymer composition improved in durability, the flexibility of composition and glass transition temperature, weathering resistance, adhesion to polar and nonpolar substrates, compatibility with a polar polymer and an inorganic component, and water resistance by selecting an acrylic polymer containing as polymer units at least one synthetic wax monomer and a second monomer in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: The synthetic wax monomer is one represented by the formula and is contained in an amount of below 1-50 wt.% based on the polymer. In the formula, R1 selected from H and CH3; R2 is selected from H and a 1-5C alkyl; R3 is selected from H and CH3; n is 9-115; and m is 0-1,370. The second monomer is contained in an amount of 50-99 wt.% based on the polymer and is desirably acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, an ester thereof, or the like. The polymer can be obtained by cooling a solution containing the synthetic wax monomer and a solvent to form a slurry, adding at least one second monomer to the slurry, and polymerizing the resulting mixture in the presence of an initiator.

The polymer particles are characterized by having a sufficient concentration of anti-agglomerating functional groups to stabilize the latex against agglomeration. Also provided is a composition in which the thermosetting compound is selected from a novolac resin, a di-, tri- or tetraglycidyl ether or a di-, tri- or tetraglycidyl ester, in which the anti-agglomerating functional groups are selected from amide groups, acetoacetoxy groups, and strong protic acids which are pH adjusted to form their conjugate bases, or a combination thereof, and in which the composition contains a substantial absence of a hardener. Its dispersion is useful as one part of a two-pack formulation.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer binder composition to improve the durability of inkjet images. SOLUTION: The inkjet ink binder contains polymer nanoparticles (PNP) having an average diameter in the range of 1-50 nanometers. These PNP contain a curing composition in a standard amount of 1-20 % based on the amount of the dried polymer. The reaction of the curing composition can be initiated by heating, chemically or by chemical rays. The inkjet ink composition containing a liquid medium, a coloring agent and an inkjet binding agent is provided and also the method of improving durability of inkjet ink printed on a base material is provided.
