    • The present invention provides an assembly for extending the effective depth of a frame (510) secured within an opening having a depth greater than that of the frame (501-504) itself. A channel (515) is associated with each segment of the frame (501-504) and opens in the direction in which added frame depth is desired. Each channel (515) has a similar, half-dovetail profile (560), and a frame extending member (520) is associated with each channel. Each frame extending member (520) has a profile that includes a first portion (501) which is rotatable into engagement with a respective channel, and a second portion (650a) which extends in the desired direction when the first portion (501) is retained within the channel (515).

    • The present invention provides an improved cutting device control system for analyzing designs, blueprints, and other drawings, and for creating low level computer instructions to fully automate the cutting process. The program utilizes several algorithms, constraints, and program features to fully automate creation of the instructions, thereby eliminating the need for an operator to input cutting, moving, or operating instructions to the cutting device. The apparatus includes a microprocessor and associated memory to store the various programming steps, to store the various data tables, and to implement the algorithms and programmed constraints. Additionally, the preferred apparatus includes associated communication devices for transmitting the generated codes to the electronic controller for the cutting device. Similarly, the input format may also be transmitted to the microprocessor.

    • The invention relates to a composition comprising an engineering resin and wood fiber composite that can be used in the form of a linear extrudate or thermoplastic pellet to manufacture structural members. The resin/wood fiber composite structural members can be manufactured in an extrusion process or an injection molding process. The linear extrudate or pellet can have a cross section of any arbitrary shape, or can be a regular geometric shape. The pellet can have a volume of at least about 12 mm . Preferably the pellet is a right cylindrical pellet having a minimum radius of about 1.5 mm and a minimum length of 1 mm weighing at least 14 mg. The invention also relates to the environmentally sensitive recycle of waste streams. The resin/wood fiber composite can contain an intentional recycle of a waste stream comprising polymer flakes or particles or wood fiber. The waste stream can comprise, in addition to resin, other thermoplastics, fibers, adhesive, paint, preservative, or other chemical stream common in the wood-window or door manufacturing process, or mixtures thereof.
