摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a commutator brush assembly and also to make a necessary electric connection by a single member. SOLUTION: A commutator brush-holding clip (and electric connector) 20 comprises a main-body part 22 and a terminal part 23. The main-body part 22 has a recessed part 28, having a plurality of dimples 32. A brush-holding sleeve, connected electrically to a commutator brush, is engaged by fastening with a commutator housing by the clip 20. Specifically, the brush-holding sleeve is held in the recessed part 28 of the clip 20 and made to engage by friction with the dimples 32. The terminal part 23 of the clip 20 engages with a corresponding terminal member of a motor stator and, as a result, the electric connection is established between the commutator brush and the stator by the clip 20.

The baffle plate includes a plurality of curvilinear scallops (40) which correspond to the air passages in the end bracket. An effective flow port is created between the scallops of the baffle plate and the tapered ramp surfaces (28) of the end brackets so the size of the effective flow port may be adjusted by merely changing the baffle plate so as to optimize the flow and pressure parameters of the fan for a particular motor size.
