    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely effective swirler featuring low pressure drop.SOLUTION: The swirler includes an annular housing with limiting walls 44. At least two vanes 22 are arranged in the annular housing having an inlet region 45 and outlet region 46 in a main flow direction. Each vane has a streamlined type cross-section profile. The cross-section profile extends in a vertical or inclined longitudinal direction 49 to the main flow direction 14 generated in the swirler 43. The leading edge area of each of the vanes 22 has a profile, which is oriented parallel to a main flow direction prevailing at the leading edge position. The profiles of the vanes 22 turn from the main flow direction prevailing at the leading edge position to impose a swirl on the flow. With reference to a central plane 35 of the vanes 22, the trailing edges 24 are provided with at least two lobes 28 and 29 in opposite transverse directions 30 and 31.
